Myanmar will allow the import of second-hand machinery and equipment
Myanmar 7th News reported on March 20, Myanmar's Commerce Ministry said that Myanmar since March this year will allow the import of second-hand machinery and equipment, in order to promote the development of SMEs. Because of imports of second-hand equipment several times cheaper than new equipment, for businesses to purchase second-hand equipment profitability and greater, SMEs can also ease the financial pressure. The Commerce Department also said, in order to avoid becoming concentrated in developed countries dispose of used equipment on the market, Myanmar imported second-hand equipment will be strictly import policy will be adjusted annually. Used equipment imported by sea only, do not allow import through border trade. Prior to this, Myanmarhas never allowed imports of second-hand equipment.
